The installation kunst sehen / kunstarchiv stadt uster is a three-dimensional cardboard replica of the art archive space of the city of Uster. (The archive: a place, a temporally unrestricted space for the systematic collection, preservation and care of documents, papers, deeds, files, especially as far as they are historically, legally or politically relevant).
What is collected here and why? Are we collecting merely to avoid the risk of forgetting something that is not necessarily relevant today, but might be important for the historical narrative in the future?
